What is the Ugandan Community UK all about?
Our aim is to address the welfare, social, cultural, educational and development needs of the Ugandans living in the UK.
We want to ensure that Ugandans benefit from practical tools for accomplishing those visionary ends. We aim to create an amazing community organisation by working in a way that reflects universally shared values
We are a non-political, non-religious, not for profit organization committed to serve Ugandans in the United Kingdom regardless of age, sex, religion, national origin, disability, immigration or marital status.
An organisation that strives to bring Ugandans living in the United Kingdom and Ireland together as a community and provide a platform where Ugandans in the UK can promote Unity, Social, Cultural and economic activities and work on issues that bind us. We aim to find solutions to the problems and issues faced by the Ugandan Community in the United Kingdom and put in place strategies for addressing and overcoming barriers people face in achieving and realising their full potential in all aspects of life. Through this interaction the organisation is looking at addressing needs peculiar to our members like Problems faced by members of our community in the UK for example challenges faced by single parents from Uganda, To support and protect our Youth who may find themselves in a society driven by violence, neglect, poverty and discrimination. Promoting spiritual programs of the different faiths and cultivate cultural awareness amongest our community in the UK Promoting Uganda as a tourist destination to boost the tourism industry and also to explore and pursue Trade and Investment opportunities for our members Cultivating a sense of Patriotism in our members, which should transcend partisan political interests and encourage people to think positively about our beautiful country Uganda irrespective of our political beliefs. Finally giving back to the community back home, we aim to make a positive difference in the lives of our people back in Uganda by engaging in and encouraging voluntary, charitable and fund raising activities.
